That's fair enough, since you do have 'other' games to keep you occupied. I don't remember what it's like to have more than one game vying for my attention :)

A Street Fighter X release (provided there's online play) is usually what prompts me to buy a console in the first place. I got a 360 because of SF2 Hyper - boy did that bring back fond memories. And for SF4 I had to get the PS3 since it had the added benefit of resurrecting my long unused SlikStik Fighter.

Like you, I find the online multi-player mode the most enjoyable aspect, lag permitting. Who would have thought it possible back in the days of congregating at the nearest store with an SF2 machine? In my case, that meant a video rental outlet about 40 minutes away (by foot) that pulled in all the local talent. Fun days!

Enjoy your games and I hope SF4 PC version doesn't disappoint!

That's awesome. Since I currently have more games than I can play, I'll probably wait to see how the PC version gets rated before I decide. If the PC version is cheaper, then I save that money plus the money for a converter.

I'll really enjoy playing against other people online as long as the lag is manageable. I used to be pretty damn good at SF2 in the arcades.

Hi Greg,

I came across your comment on SF4 at towardsmecca. I also have a SlikStik Fighter unit that I originally got way back in 2003 so I could play SF2, Alpha 2 etc propertly on MAME. Needless to say, it sure didn't disappoint!

What was disappointing was that I couldn't use the stick on other systems ... so I thought. This weekend I got it fully working on PS3 so playing SF4 on it is just the way it should be :) The converter from ultimarc cost me $49 ($35 + a pretty annoying $14 shipping charge from UK but what can you do?).

Anyway, just an fyi to a fellow SlikStiker.
Cheers,
Ray

So is Five the new Six?

I really can't wait for GoW3, I think it's really going to show what the PS3 can do and feature some kick ass gameplay. Heavy Rain looks awesome as well.

Another game I'm keeping my eye on is White Knight Chronicles. So far it looks like a good JRPG, and Factor 5 has never failed me.
